BREEAM and HQE technical studies
We carry out the technical studies that environmental certification calls for, in English as well as in French: BREEAM New Construction, BREEAM In-Use and HQE.
The source register
Every figure quoted on this site points to the register, which gives its source and its status. Sources are graded by tier.
Tier 1: official
The law and those who publish it: Légifrance, the Official Journal of the European Union, French ministry portals, public agencies.
Tier 2: institutional
Technical institutes, certification bodies and standards. They refine and complete tier 1, which prevails where the two differ.
Tier 3: signal
Trade press and industry sources. They tell us a text is changing; what we then publish comes from the text itself.
A checked fact carries the date it was checked. A value that no text sets down is marked “Valeur de pratique”, a trade practice; a value whose text we have yet to consult, often a paid standard, is marked “Source à établir”, source still to be established. The register itself is kept in French.
